European Research and Innovation Days is the first annual policy event of the European Commission, bringing together stakeholders to debate and shape the future research and innovation landscape.

The Plants for the Future and Animal Task Force have worked together on a position paper that is now available here.

Climate change, new biotechnologies and changing consumer habits and farming practices are just a few examples which illustrate the dramatic changes that agriculture in the EU may undergo until the year 2050.

On 21 October 2021, Plant ETP submitted its response to the EU Comission's Inception Impact Assessment (roadmap) for new "Legislation for plants produced by certain new genomic techniques".

Discussions included the role of Plant ETP in supporting the transition to more sustainable agriculture, in the context of the Green Deal, while maintaining business continuity.

European and National Technology Platforms representing the Agri & Aqua Food sector are very concerned about the reduction of the allocated budget to Horizon Europe, that was negotiated at teh eU summit from 17 to 21 July 2020.
